Managing orders (panel and Mobee Manager app)

Orders arrive in real time, with a sound alert, in two places: in the panel (Orders section + dashboard) and in the Mobee Manager app for phone and tablet — the one to keep in the kitchen or at the counter. An order's flow 1. New order — arrives with a ring and appears in the list; 2. Confirm — you accept the order (you can also propose a different time); 3. Preparing / Ready; 4. Delivered / Picked up — you close the order. At every status change the customer gets a notification (and an email): no more "how's my order doing?" phone calls. On each order you see: dishes with options and boxes, customer notes, requested time, address and zone (for delivery), payment method. You can add internal notes for the kitchen. The Mobee Manager app Download Mobee Manager on your venue's phone or tablet and sign in with the same credentials as the panel: - Recent orders list and a by-time-slot view; - one-tap status changes; - automatic ticket printing on the Sunmi terminal or on an ESC/POS network printer (with recovery of unprinted orders if the printer was off): see Printing tickets: Sunmi, network printer or no printer; - daily cash report: the day's takings at a glance. Place a test order Before opening to customers, place a test order from your own app: you experience what customers see and verify the ring, printing and status changes. Test orders are excluded from counts and reports — they don't pollute your numbers. If an order must be cancelled You can cancel an order from its detail view: the customer is notified and any loyalty points are automatically reversed.

Printing tickets: Sunmi, network printer or no printer

With the Mobee Manager app, orders arrive in real time on your phone, tablet or terminal. Printing is optional: you can work from the screen alone. If you want the ticket on paper, there are two ways. The three situations I don't have a printer. That's fine: the app shows every order with a sound alert and marks it when you take it on. In the guided setup choose "I don't have a printer"; you can add one at any time. I have a Sunmi terminal. It's a single device with the printer built in: install Mobee Manager and the ticket prints by itself, nothing to configure. You can order it from the Plans page of the back office. I have (or want to buy) a network printer. Mobee Manager supports thermal printers that speak the ESC/POS protocol over the network (Ethernet or Wi-Fi): the app finds it on your network and prints the ticket for every order. It must have one specific feature, see below. The two can be combined: keep the Sunmi at the counter and an ESC/POS network printer in the kitchen, each with its own ticket. Which printer to buy You can buy it yourself (Amazon or any retailer). Check three things on the spec sheet: 1. ESC/POS protocol — this is the essential one. It's the standard for receipt printers in hospitality and almost all of them declare it; without it, the app can't talk to it. 2. Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection — the printer must be on the same Wi-Fi network as the phone or tablet. Avoid USB-only or Bluetooth-only models: they don't work with the app. 3. 80 mm paper width (recommended: easier to read, text doesn't wrap). 58 mm is fine for short tickets. Search for example "80mm thermal printer ESC/POS Ethernet" or "… Wi-Fi". Models like the Epson TM-T20 / TM-T88 and compatibles work well. Guided setup In Settings → Printing the app walks you through it: it recognises a Sunmi by itself, otherwise asks whether you have a printer, searches your network, runs a test print and asks how many copies you want: - One copy at the counter — the full sheet with customer, address and bill. - One in the kitchen and one at the counter — the kitchen gets a ticket with dishes only, in large text; the counter gets the full sheet. Made a mistake or changed printer? Tap Reset printing and start over: all other settings are kept. Can't find it? - Phone and printer must be on the same Wi-Fi network (not mobile data, not a VPN). Internet is not required: search and printing work even if the venue network is offline at that moment, or if you are testing on a separate network. - If the printer is on another network, tap Search another network… and type the first three numbers of its address (for example 192.168.123): the app searches there. Your phone must be able to reach it; if it still can't find it, connect the phone to the printer's network. - You can type the IP address by hand: you'll find it on the printer's self-test page (usually by holding the feed button while powering on). The address is entered in four boxes, one per number: the app adds the dots, you only type the digits and it moves to the next box by itself. - If you're stuck, write to us in chat from the panel: if you're already talking to us, just ask there.
